New Year new Style
January 2026 | Style & Travel
There is a specific kind of magic found in resort wear—that sweet spot between effortless comfort and high-impact polish. This week, I’m embracing the sun with three distinct looks that play with texture, bold prints, and classic silhouettes. Whether strolling the boardwalk or heading to a garden lunch, here is how I’m styling my current vacation favorites.
01. Animal Instinct
The Look: Sheer Snake Print Blouse + Wide-Leg Trousers
For the first look, I wanted to channel a bit of bold sophistication. Animal print is a neutral in my book, provided it’s styled correctly. I paired this airy, sheer snake-print blouse with crisp, tailored white wide-leg trousers. The white balances the busy pattern of the shirt, keeping the overall vibe fresh and bright for daytime.
I accessorized with a structured Michael Kors satchel in camel and white—perfectly tying the earth tones together—and oversized sunglasses for that touch of “Old Money” aesthetic.
Style Tip: When wearing a loud print on top, keep the bottom solid and bright to elongate the silhouette.
02. Nautical Breeze
The Look: White Eyelet Crop + Navy Pleated Skirt
Nothing says “coastal chic” quite like the combination of crisp white and deep navy. This look is all about playful structures. I fell in love with this white eyelet button-down; the openwork detail adds so much texture without being heavy.
I paired it with a fluid navy pleated skirt that moves beautifully when walking. To keep it cohesive, I matched the accessories strictly to the color palette: a structured navy-and-white tote and chunky white block heels that are comfortable enough for a full day of sightseeing.

Current Mood: Preppy, fresh, and ready for a seaside aperitivo.
03. Safari Chic
The Look: Olive Eyelet Dress + Woven Clutch
For the final look, I went monochrome with earthy greens. This olive eyelet dress gives off major safari-luxe vibes. The texture of the fabric keeps the single color from looking flat, while the brown leather belt cinches the waist to add shape.
The star accessory here is the woven geometric clutch. It adds a natural, artisanal element that fits perfectly with the outdoor setting. Finished with pearl drop earrings and my go-to sunnies, this look transitions seamlessly from a late afternoon walk to dinner.

The Details: It’s all about mixing materials—leather, cotton lace, and woven straw—to create depth in a monochrome outfit.
Which of these three moods is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
